Blossom to Wreath

Updated: Mar 24

Well, we've officially arrived at our third phase of spring decor...decorating with wreaths! There are so many wonderful shapes and sizes of wreaths, and so many places we can put them to give our home that added spring touch. Three things absolutely fantastic about wreaths are that you can make them, buy them or even incorporate the two together! Artificial is really the way to go with wreaths because we want them to last at least for one whole season, while they keep their glamorous glow of freshness and color. There are so many settings for wreaths, the obvious and most popular for good reason is the front door, but let's not forget- over your fireplace, around a decorative mirror, on the shower head in your bathroom (with a little lavender for relaxation), or even above your stove to brighten up your kitchen! Wherever you choose to add yours, make sure to have fun with it! My favorite way to decorate a wreath is to find one in the right size for the setting I'm aiming for and with a base of nice greenery that I like. You can find wreaths online or practically at any home decor store out there. Now, I would take that newly found wreath to a favorite art/decor warehouse or store and have fun with all the buckets of beautiful artificial florals and blooms they have presented there. Pick three to four different color and types of flowers to add to your wreath. Wreaths made from a foam base will allow you to just simply stick your new flowers that are cut down to size right into the base, while others may require a bit of glue or floral wire to add them in. Enjoy your creativity and like always aim for whatever you're designing to have a meaningful purpose and add joy to your home!
